SFAGA TOURNAMENT and MEMBERSHIP RULES

GUEST PLAY
Guests are welcome to all regularly scheduled AGA tournaments.

TOURNAMENT SIGN-UP
To avoid conflicts in tournaments which have a maximum number of players allowed, the following priority will apply to all paid entries received by the Tournament Chairperson by the entry deadline: AGA members over guests, members with more tournament participation in current year over less, members of longer standing over less, early receipt of check over later. Priority applied in order shown until entries do not exceed maximum.

FLIGHT COMPETITION
Members and guests are divided into two flights according to AGA handicap:
A) 0-16;
B) 17+.
Prizes are awarded to low net member winners of each flight.

FOURSOME COMPETITION AND PRIZES
Each member of the foursome is issued 10 chits. At the conclusion of each hole, the net low ball (score less full AGA handicap), receives one chit from each foursome member with a higher net score. Player with the most chits at the end of the round is winner of the foursome prize. Prize for second place is three golf balls. Second place foursome winners do not move to first place if the foursome winner wins a low net flight prize. Prizes are awarded to members first, in order of low net, then to guests. Prizes are awarded at dinner. Winners not present at the dinner will not receive prizes—No exceptions. Guests are eligible for long drive, closest to the pin and raffle prizes.

RULES OF PLAY
USGA Rules govern all play, except as noted on the host golf course's scorecard. Summer rules apply unless changed by the Tournament Director due to weather or course conditions. NCGA handicap will be used. Mulligan on the first hole only, except on par threes or long drive hole, in which case the Mulligan is taken on the next tee. Long drive must be in the fairway to count.

MEMBER PARTICIPATION
To maintain a continuing membership in SFAGA, the individual must participate in at least two tournaments each year. If not, the Board has the option to refuse membership the following year.

NEW MEMBER QUALIFICATION
To be proposed for membership in SF/AGA, the individual must meet our qualification guidelines established by the Board of Directors. Applications for membership are available from the Membership Chairperson, or online as a PDF.

ETIQUETTE
Wherever we play, we are guests. Treat each course as your own. Replace divots, rake traps, drive carts with care. We want to be invited back! And remember, members are responsible for our guests.
